Join Our Team: Operations Assistant (Part-Time, Remote – 1099)

Hours: 10 hours/week to start
Location: Fully Remote (U.S.-based candidates only)
Compensation: $20–$25/hr to start (1099 contractor; eligible for increases to $28–$30/hr after 90 days based on performance)

About the Role

Think Adapt Build LLC helps service-based businesses scale more smoothly by improving operations and leadership systems. We’re looking for a tech-comfortable, detail-oriented Operations Assistant who enjoys structure, thrives on checklists, and wants to grow into more responsibility over time.

This role will support our Operations Coordinator with workflow and administrative tasks, assist the founder with light virtual assistant support, and help us build, test, and document internal systems and automations. We’ll train you on process mapping, workflow documentation, and basic automation. You bring consistency, curiosity, and the drive to improve.


Key Responsibilities

Workflow & Systems Support (40%)

  • Assist with process mapping, workflow documentation, and automation testing

  • Build and refine tasks, checklists, and internal workflows in ClickUp

  • Test new systems, flag issues, and suggest improvements

  • Write clear checklists or SOPs for recurring processes

Administrative & VA Support (30%)

  • Support the Operations Coordinator with task follow-ups, scheduling, and data entry

  • Provide light VA support to the founder (email organization, file management, task tracking)

  • Keep shared documents and timelines up to date

Content & Tool Support (30%)

  • Post or update content in ClickUp and related tools

  • Learn new tools quickly and document how to use them

  • Assist with tool testing across marketing and operations projects


Weekly Time Expectations

  • 1-hour weekly meeting with the Founder

  • 1-hour weekly meeting with the Operations Coordinator

  • Remaining hours are task-based and asynchronous, with flexibility to set your own schedule. Some overlap with business hours is helpful for quick responses, but real-time availability is not required.


Who You Are

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on improving processes

  • Comfortable with technology and learning new systems

  • Proactive communicator and self-starter in a remote environment

  • Curious about operations, systems, and automation

  • Familiar with or able to quickly learn:

    • ClickUp (project management; similar to Asana/Trello)

    • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive; similar to Microsoft Office/OneDrive)

    • Slack (team communication; similar to Microsoft Teams/Discord)

    • Zapier / Make (automation; similar to IFTTT)

  • Bonus: prior VA experience, content support, or workflow documentation


Compensation & Growth

  • Starting Pay: $20–$25/hr (based on experience and fit)

  • Tiered Growth: Eligible for $28–$30/hr after 90 days based on initiative, ownership of tasks, and learning speed

  • Contract Type: 1099, part-time, remote

  • Growth: Potential to increase hours and responsibilities over time
